High altitude ski tour of the Uri Alps from Andermatt to Engelberg. Both places in the heart of the Swiss Alps are known for gigantic freeride descents. Between the two places lie undiscovered gems, scenically great touring possibilities, with lots of potential for adventurous descents with the best snow until well into spring. The lesser known huts spoil us with their delicacies. Discover the Central Swiss Alps with us on skis or splitboard between Uri, Bernese Oberland and Obwalden.

Day 1: Meeting and welcome in Andermatt, Café Baumann, Gotthardstrasse 49, 6490 Andermatt. Arrival by train or long-term parking available in the village. Short train ride to Realp. From there we ascend via the snow-covered Furkapass road to Hotel Galenstock, to Ochsenalp and on to the Albert-Heim-Hut (2534 m). Walking time, approx.3.5 h, 1070 hm
Day 2: From the cosy hut, the route today takes us over the winter gap to the Lochberg (3047 m). The long and partly steep descent to the Göscheneralpsee, rewards the adventurous ascent. We then take the summer trail through the Chelenalp valley and on to the Chelenalp hut. Approx. 7.5 h / 1500 hm ascent.
Day 3: Today is summit day on the Sustenhorn (3503 m). Early in the morning we climb steeply up to the Sustenlimi from Uri into the Bernese Oberland and from there we continue more comfortably to the snow-white summit of the beautiful mountain. The long descent over the Steingletscher awaits! Overnight stay in the Steinalp-Lodge or in the Alpin Center at the Susten Pass (1865 m) Approx. 6 - 7 h, ascent 1200 hm.
Day 4: Today we go up to the Uratstock past the Fünffingerstöcken (2993 m). An exciting descent then already awaits us down to Kleinsustli. After a last steep counter ascent we reach the Sustlihütte. Walking time: 6 h, 1400 hm ascent
Day 5: Last stage: over the Firnalpfirn up to the Grassen (2946 m) under the mighty rock walls of the Titlis. The gigantic, north-facing descent down into the Engelberg valley with over 1800 m of altitude will leave a lasting impression. Individual journey home from Engelberg or together by taxi back to Andermatt.
