WHY "SKI TOURS BEYOND LYNGEN"?
We call these exclusive "Lyngen Beyond Ski Tours" because our lodge on the island of Uloya is one of the most beautiful places on the entire Lynenfjord. The magnificent Uloya traverse with the summit Blatinden (1142 m) starts on the doorstep and overwhelms our participants every time with the incorruptible view of the Lyngenfjord and the absolutely epic descents down to the beach. The island offers the perfect location for "aurora hunters", as we have no disturbing light out there. There is hardly any other place where you can admire the natural spectacle of Aurora Borealis better than here during our Lyngen ski tours. Some of our ski tours take place far out on the islands of Kagen and Arnoya in the Arctic Ocean, far enough away from the busy side of the Lyngenfjord at Koppangen and Lyngseidet. With our private speedboat we are quickly at the best tours of the entire Lyngenfjord - simply "beyond" Lyngen. Even if you have already been up there, there is a lot of new territory waiting for you!
Breathtaking Lyngen landscape
The Lyngen Alps, as the mountain ranges on a peninsula east of Tromsø are called, are becoming increasingly popular. The Lyngen ski touring area is one of the most alpine areas in Scandinavia, with steep and high mountains that drop directly into the sea. The highest peaks reach almost 1800 m and are glaciated. Comparisons with the Alps are almost inevitable.
The location is so unique that some ski tours can be reached directly from the fjord. The ascent of untouched slopes often begins on the beach, to a steep peak which can hardly be guessed. Enjoy a breathtaking adventure between the mountains and the ocean!

So that you can devote yourself entirely to skiing and the breathtaking scenery, our lodge provides you with all the amenities you need for a relaxing holiday. The cuisine of the lodge is dominated by fine regional products, the freshly caught fish comes directly from the cold fjord.
Tromsö is the largest city in northern Norway and is also known as Paris of the North. Botanical garden included! It offers plenty of history and is surrounded by fjords, islands and high mountains.

You do not have to prepare your own meals:
the kitchen team of the lodge will spoil you in the morning and evening with local specialities. The dinner and breakfast buffet is very rich and varied. So you don't have to shopping/cooking/washing up etc. but can fully concentrate on skiing. Please compare with other organizers.

Day 1: Arrival at the airport. Flight to Tromso via Oslo. Drive by car and ferry in the afternoon to Lyngseidet, Djupvik and Ravelseidet. Transfer by speedboat to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 - 7: Ski tours daily from our lodge. Some tours are possible directly from the lodge on foot, often we drive a bit with our van and use the ferry or a fishing boat. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon. Sauna, Jacuzzi and relaxation during dinner.
Day 8: Drive to Tromsø, possibly a short ski tour on the way. In the afternoon, a city walk in Tromsø, the city is considered the gateway to the North Pole and has the cosy charm of an old northern city with beautiful wooden houses in the old town. Finish with a fine fish dinner with excellent wines in a good restaurant by the harbour. Overnight in a hotel in Tromsö.
You don't have to shop/cook/wash-up/clean up first but can concentrate on chilling out and drink a toast to the super skiing day. Fine, local food from the hotel kitchen with lots of fish and organic lamb is included in our tour price. Please compare with other organizers.
Day 9: Breakfast in Tromsø, short transfer to the airport. Flight via Oslo to Zurich. Farewell. Journey home.
