High altitude ski tour Piz Bernina Whitsun
Whitsun Ski Tour Piz Bernina and Palü
This year the snow cover is mighty and allows for breathtaking high altitude ski tours also in the Bernina. Now in late spring before the summer season is a good time to do it. From Diavolezza we go up Piz Palü and after a first spectacular descent to the Boval hut. From here we climb Piz Bernina. The skis stay behind at the ski depot before the climbing passages and the summit ridge. The descent to the Boval Hut below the walls of Piz Bernina and Piz Morteratsch is hard to beat in terms of scenery. The way back leads past Piz Cambrena and down into Val d'Arlas.
