You should be very safe to control your skis in all kinds of snow. Experience in the glacier terrain is an advantage. Over short distances, you also have to ski on your backpack on foot or climb steep passages with crampons. You should already have experience with lighter ski tours (e.g. BERIE level I) in order to have no problems even with steep climbs. Condition for demanding mountaineering in high mountains from 6 to 8 hours in ascent and enough breaks. Vertigo and tread safety in steep passages with crampons and ice axe.
