Some info...

The Bordier Hut SAC (2886 m) is one of the most characteristic huts in the Valais Alps. Small, cosy and with a fantastic location at the foot of the lonely Riedgletscher. Through green and summer-fresh larch forests, you hike leisurely from Grächen in the Mattertal up to the ice stream. The glacier can be easily crossed below a mighty ice break-off. Shortly before sunset, the ibexes creep up to the hut and can be observed at close quarters. The Ulrichshorn is almost 4000 m high, but much easier to climb than the big 4000 m peaks of the Mischabel chain, which also includes the Dom. An interesting descent to Saas Fee awaits you on the second day. Plenty of time for looking and observing and still be challenged by sports - all this is offered by this wonderful mountain adventure in the Valais between Grächen and Saas Fee.
