Complete organization of the trip
Optional evening before: Meeting point in Zermatt at 20:30 "Restaurant Grampi's", Bahnhofstrasse for dinner and discussion. Overnight stay in a simple hotel in the centre of Zermatt. Double room / overnight stay + breakfast
Day 1: Early morning cable car ride to the Klein Matterhorn. Ascent to the Breithorn (4164 m) and descent via the Schwarztor to the Gorner Glacier (approx.2400 m). Leisurely ascent for acclimatization to the Monte Rosa Hut (2883 m).
Day 2: In the light of the street lamps we climb over the Grenzgletscher under the icy walls of the Lyskamm to the Ludwigshöhe or to the Signalkuppe/Capane Margherita. An insanely beautiful descent awaits.
Day 3: One of the largest glacier areas in the Alps is not yet so well known to many ski touring enthusiasts: we steer our skis to the origin of the mighty Gorner and Findel glaciers to the Torre di Castelfranco (3623 m) or to the Cima di Jazzi and descend endlessly past the Stockhorn towards Blauherd. Most of the time the snow still reaches almost to the Riffelalp and from there we continue comfortably by train to Zermatt. Farewell at Zermatt station (shuttle trains to Täsch every 20 minutes.)
