Description

Bakhmaro, with an altitude of around 1,900 metres, is one of the highest "holiday resorts" in Georgia. Many families from the surrounding area have a hut here and spend some time in summer in the high valley. Early in the season there is plenty of powder snow, so the village is currently uninhabited and difficult to reach in winter. That sounds good, doesn't it?! The high amounts of snow and the regular snowfall are perfect for freetouring and catskiing. The area was recently discovered as a powder paradise and there are still many variations for freetourers with a pioneering spirit. In December and March we now offer cat skiing and ski tours in Bakhmaro. There are possibilities for all weather conditions and snow conditions. The mountains around Bakhmaro are varied and captivate above all by light beech forests and many northern slopes. Ideal terrain to discover new territory!

Saturday: Arrival Kutaisi (KUT).
Pick-up at the airport & transfer to Bakhmaro (about 2 hours by minibus and then 1.5 hours by Snowcat) [depending on the situation it may be necessary to stay overnight near the airport]. 1 Freeride day: brunch, safety meeting, start at noon.
2nd to 6th Freeride Day: CatSkiing in the mountains around Bakhmaro.
Departure day: After breakfast transfer to the airport [depending on the situation, the transfer will already take place the evening before. We'll spend the night near the airport.] Departure Kutaisi (KUT).
