Welcome to the southwest of Greenland, to an archipelago of islands that offers unique ski tours: generous slopes, narrow valleys with granite walls, glaciers and couloirs.
Now ideal in spring, we travel on our small ship with an experienced crew to discover the area between Maniitsoq and Eternity Fjord. All descents, often in very good snow quality, always end on the beach of a fjord where whales, seals and numerous sea creatures make their rounds. Icebergs float in the water, ice that comes from huge glaciers that cover most of Greenland. I was very impressed by Greenland on my first trip: it is hard to beat the originality and remoteness of this powerful nature. The Inuit culture is based only on hunting and fishing, a culture that can only exist in balance with an intact nature.
The average height of the mountains is 1,700 meters, with Adam Peak in Eternity Fjord reaching up to 2,000 meters.
