Complete organization of the trip
Day 1: Meet at 10:20 am at the train station in Zermatt. With the Gornergratbahn to the Rotenboden station. Hike down past fragrant alpine herbs on the summer trail with amazing, beautiful views to the highest glacier mountains in the Swiss Alps. From the upper Gorner glacier, secured by rope along the new panorama trail to the moraine. Across blocked hiking trails to the New Monte Rosa Hut. Aperitif, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Descent over the Gorner glacier with its bizarre ice formations and turquoise, blue glacier water to the gorge and on to Furi. Cable car ride from Furi down to the valley. Farewell and journey home.
